CITY VS UNITED- A real F.A cup Derbie!

Manchester City set up a fascinating clash against local rivals Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley. City, who beat Reading 1-0 in Sunday’s quarter finals, are looking to secure their first silverware since their League Cup win in 1976. Bolton have been paired with Stoke in the last 4, following wins over Birmingham and West Ham . Wembley Stadium will host both semi-finals on sixteen and seventeen Apr. While under the stewardship of chief Manchester United, Manchester City have been beaten by rivals United on 4 occasions. In Feb , a Wayne Rooney strike settled the league encounter between the 2 sides. ” Vengeance is the incorrect word,” recounted the Italian chief. “each year in football you can meet your contestant, 2 times minimum, perhaps 3 or 4. “it’s a great semi final and you might see what it intended to the fans at the end.

”We are extremely close with all of the top squads but we want to improve more and perhaps next year we’ll be at the same level.

“But it is very important that we played a good game at Old Trafford last time and we have got an opportunity to win, like them.” In the meantime , Stoke chief Tony Pulis claimed he’ll treat Bolton with “total respect” after having evaded both Manchester sides in the draw. “I suspect it is being ungracious to Bolton to claim it’s the draw we wanted, we just wished to win against West Ham,” claimed the Potters chief. “we’re going to treat them with total respect. If you look at Bolton and their history, they’ve been a Premier League side far longer than us and have established Premier League players. “we may give them respect and we know it is going to be a tricky game for us. “.
